Individual care, shared healing

What to expect at Gather:

Community Comfort
Treatments are done in a shared space with up to 4 people. We have 3 extremely comfortable zero-gravity chairs and 2 treatment tables.

Informed Acupuncture
On your first visit, you will have a private intake conversation with your acupuncturist before receiving treatment. On subsequent visits, you will have a brief check-in to update us on how you’re doing before receiving treatment.

Time for Healing
Each visit is about 50 minutes long, which includes a brief check-in, treatment, and your time for relaxation.

Nurtured Space
While you rest, your acupuncturist will check in on you and is readily available if you need anything.

Targeted Treatment
Points are chosen primarily on the arms, legs, head, and ears. Everyone remains fully clothed.

Custom Care
Each treatment is tailored to your specific condition and what you want to focus on that day.

A Wellness Plan
At the end of your treatment, your acupuncturist will remove your needles and let you know your treatment plan — how often and when to return.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Your comfort is our top priority. Acupuncture needles are hair-thin, much smaller than the needles you see in a medical setting. For some points, you may feel a small pinch or a slight ache, but most people find the experience to be painless, calming, and deeply relaxing. We practice a very gentle style of needling, which is ideal for those new to acupuncture or especially sensitive. If you have discomfort at any time, we encourage you to let us know so we can adjust or remove the needle to make you comfortable.

  • Acupuncture can treat a huge variety of conditions, including (but not limited to):

    Pain Management

    Acute Injuries

    Women’s Health (OB/GYN)

    Emotional / Psychological Issues

    Neurological Conditions

    Respiratory Conditions

    Digestive Concerns

    Immune / Autoimmune Conditions

    Endocrine / Hormone Regulation

    Circulation

    Skin Conditions

    Kidney and Urinary System

  • We assess the frequency of treatment based on your specific needs, including your history, current condition, and overall health. Some issues can be helped with just a single treatment, but mostly acupuncture has a cumulative effect that builds over time. Most issues require 4-6 treatments, while some chronic conditions can take 10-20 treatments. We will discuss a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs. One of the great benefits of community acupuncture is that it allows for more frequent visits, so you can get the care you need.

  • We do not. The community acupuncture model cuts out the middle man, allowing you to pay on a sliding scale at a rate that works for your budget. Without using insurance, you are able to get as many treatments as you need. If you have insurance coverage for acupuncture and want to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, please ask us for a receipt. We are happy to provide it.

  • Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, so we can access up to your knee on your legs and your elbow on your arm. We provide blankets if you get chilly.

  • "Kelly was incredibly skilled at helping me with some acute gastrointestinal triggers. It was like acupuncture ER. I was very impressed and would highly recommend her. She has a direct but easeful style, which I appreciate in a practitioner."

  • "Your search for an acupuncturist stops here; don't look any further! I would give Kelly 10 stars out of 5 if i could! I have gone to many different acupuncturists, including some very good ones, but Kelly is by far the best acupuncturist that I've ever been to! She is the only one to do moxabustion and local bloodletting on me, both of which are very helpful things for me, in addition to the usual acupuncture and cupping. Kelly is also very compassionate, a very good listener, and very in tune with what is happening in her patients' bodies. I can't recommend her enough!

    —K.A.

  • "Kelly is an incredibly intuitive and gifted acupuncturist. She has a way of treating what I come in for and other problems I wasn't even aware I was grappling with. It all seems to be better and brighter after a treatment with Kelly. I couldn't recommend her more!"

    —S.B.

  • "Kelly is a lovely, down-to-earth, warm person, who listens and responds specifically to the individual who's in her care. If you're new and/or unfamiliar with non-Western approaches to health issues, I cannot recommend her services enough. She gave me the best—hands-down, best—massage I've ever had.
